Sadly, I think that the 'Pro' Market saw this machine with its 'Arranger' as a Home or Amateur players instrument, and the Amateurs and Home players saw it as a 'Pro' Machine, due to it requiring external amp and speakers, so it never really 'took off' sales - wise, and was quickly discontinued with no 'upgrades' as was usual. mid backings - Internal (Optional) Hard Drive, are just a few of the things I like - the voices aren't too bad even 10 years down the line ! Built like a 'Brick Toilet' - 88 keys - 120 note Polyphony (double that if you fitted the 'Piano's PL pack!) - Good initial and aftertouch + reasonable 'Semi Weighted' Keys - 'Passable' on board sequencer - with the ability to make your own.

I have in my collection of 'keys', a now aging Yamaha PSR 9000 Pro, which I really believe, at the time, and ever since, was the best studio keyboard Yamaha ever made. I just wonder how many 'proper' performing musicians, actually use an Arranger/Keyboard/Workstation (or will admit publicly that they do) ?.
